Over the years we have cooperated with a long line of exciting companies on logistics and transport optimisation. These companies operate in many different fields and are both Danish and international.
“We produce and sell garden houses, saunas, pavilions, carports, garages, play equipment, terrace roofing and similar outdoor and indoor spruce products. Approx. 75% of the flow of goods ensues from our two plants directly to the end consumer.
Nevertheless, we are invariably faced by the challenge of delivering the wood packages, up to six metres in length, to private addresses free kerb.
We commissioned CostPartner Deutschland GmbH to analyse our logistics processes with the aim of identifying a new service-provider set-up, in order to, firstly, enable us to react faster and more effectively to market fluctuations”
Patrik Jönsson, Head of Purchasing at Orderinvest AB, relates: “We did not have the resources required for a thorough analysis of our overall logistics”.
A few years ago, we independently conducted a price negotiation, based on the CostPartner concept as well as their 3-dimensional optimisation approach. It was not only a matter of determining the prices for the transport.
However, what really excites me – a good year after the successful completion of the project – is the 24-month customer support and quality control warranty provided by CostPartner. This provided us with the security necessary in selecting a transport system.”
“We were curious to find out whether CostPartner would succeed in not only in identifying sustainable and practically applicable optimisation potentials by means of fresh ideas and the practiced “broadening of horizons”, but also in realising the resulting savings without the entailment of loss of quality.
We were not disappointed.
With the help of a professional tendering process and their own BEST assessment tool, CostPartner succeeded in identifying the “most cost-effective” service providers in the truest sense of the term.”
Martin Seeger, Managing Director at El-Kretsen, relates:
“What convinces us was CostPartner’s concept – particularly their optimisation approach from several perspectives (logistics, technology and cost consideration), combined with the business model “No cure – No pay”. This business model represents a low risk for us. Moreover, quality controls following implementation were also included in their proposal.
We now have a period of many successful implementations behind us. The development of our logistics is now in the hands of a few very skilful hauliers.”
Nordex Food is a dairy company specializing in the production of white cheese. The dairy production facilities are located in Denmark, Austria and Romania. Nordex Food wanted to have their distribution and goods flow analysed.
Together with CostPartner we decided to draw up a transport tender and the work of CostPartner has also led to our haulers optimizing their processes.
In this way, the savings have not only emerged from our haulers being challenged in terms of the price, but primarily due to overall optimisation procedures.
